CaminhoIT takes data protection seriously. As your managed IT and cloud partner, we handle information responsibly, transparently, and in full compliance with UK and EU GDPR frameworks.

1. Who We Are

CaminhoIT is a UK- and Portugal-based Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivering IT, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions. For privacy matters, contact our Data Protection Lead at privacy@caminhoit.com.

2. What Data We Collect

  • Contact details (name, email, company information)
  • Authentication provider ID (Google, Microsoft, Discord)
  • IP address and session logs
  • Platform usage data for service improvement

3. How We Use Your Data

We process your information to deliver secure and reliable IT services, including:

  • Providing technical support and account management
  • Maintaining security and infrastructure integrity
  • Communicating updates, maintenance, and service notices
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements

5. Data Sharing

We never sell personal data. Limited information may be shared with trusted providers strictly for service delivery, such as Microsoft 365, EU/UK-based hosting environments, or secure authentication providers.

6. Data Storage & Transfers

CaminhoIT operates its own secure mail and hosting infrastructure in the UK and EU. No customer data is transferred outside these regions unless explicitly required, and always under approved legal safeguards (e.g., SCCs).

  • Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest
  • Role-based access controls
  • 24/7 infrastructure monitoring
  • Strict confidentiality agreements for all personnel

8. Client Data Confidentiality

All data managed by CaminhoIT on behalf of clients remains their exclusive property. Access is restricted to authorized technicians and only when necessary for support or maintenance.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal and system data only for as long as necessary to provide services or meet legal obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.

10. Security Incident Management

In the event of a data incident, CaminhoIT follows a documented response plan, including client notification and, if required, regulatory reporting in line with GDPR Articles 33–34.

11. Your Rights

  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Request portability of your data
  • Lodge a complaint with your data authority

12. Third-Party Services

Authentication may use Google, Microsoft, or Discord. Their privacy policies apply when using those providers. CaminhoIT does not store authentication passwords.

13. Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses only essential and anonymous analytics cookies. We do not track or advertise.

14. Children’s Data

Our services are designed for professional use and not directed toward individuals under 16 years old.

We may revise this policy periodically to reflect regulatory or technical changes. The latest version is always available on this page.
